Magic Numbers (Request post)

This post is being written on request of my friend Poar (from VFM) to understand the magic numbers system as posted by Kamleshji (KPL) on his website www.vfmdirect.co.in

The steps are as follows:

1) Note down past day nifty close say for 7th July 2009 was at 4481.40
2) Now simply round off this number to nearest 100 which is 4500.
3) Then just take 0.5% of 4500 and add it to 4500 ; thats your 1st UP value.
4) Now again take 0.5% of 1st UP value and add it to the 1st UP value and so on till you get 4 UP values.
5) Same way substract 0.5% from 4500 and substract it from 4500 ; thats your 1st DN value.
6) Now again take 0.5% of 1st DN value and add it to the 1st DN value and so on till you get 4 DN values.
7) So 4 UP and 4 DN numbers together form your magic numbers.


So nos. for 10th August 2009 are So now the nos. for 10th Aug 2009 are as follows:

4412 - 4434 - 4456 - 4478 - 4500 - 4523 - 4546 - 4569 - 4592
